It really was a jungle in there! SO typical of NW woods: green and lush and shadowy. These pics are right out of the camera; no color-enhancement; no cropping.
This is much too blown-out, but metering was just beyond me. Just showing here the ferns growing on 80-foot + trees, clear to the top.
Then there are the moss-covered limbs too:
My favorite fern and I don't even know the name!
The river below Twin Falls; again, blown out.

these are just incredible. I keep expecting little faries to pop out of the landscape.
Ok, ML, these are wonderful! Love the dual curls--I know exactly wehre those were! I have the detail on your large fern shot...and we both have different views of the same tree. What a hoot! Nice work with the slow water; looks good.
those are just so pretty. I love the first one it's so unique.
Wow! I absolutely love that first one! And the silky water in the last one is lovely!
I really love the texture to that first one...so interesting.
The curls and color in that first one are so beautiful. I'm amazed at those ferns on the trees too!
What an incredible place! It really does look like a jungle, a mystical, magical one! The way the fern is curling around in the first one is so artistic!
Those little baby ferns unfurling are awesome! And the moss covered branches! And the waterfall! Heck, I love them all, these are a feast for the senses! I can almost feel the cool forest air in these!
gorgeous! what a great place to walk and take photos!
Great lighting on those moss covered limbs! And I love the ferns!
